I think it is unfair to blame the religious for going to assist in sharing the Communion. If there is anyone to blame it is the priests. They are the ones calling us the religious to assist them in distributing the Holy Communion and when you refuse it becomes a problem. I once refused to go up to the altar to assist in distributing Communion but the priest sent an altar boy to come and call me from my seat. What was i supposed to do at that time? Refuse to go still? Well i went though against my wish and i have continued to do that against my wish. i do it out of obedience to the pries…
